    CorpsAfrica, a leading pan-African volunteer service organization, is seeking an experienced and visionary Regional Manager to lead the growth and operational excellence of its expanding regional footprint. This role presents an opportunity for a strategic, mission-driven professional to shape the future of an organization redefining volunteerism and sustainable development on the African continent.

    About CorpsAfrica
    Established in 2011, CorpsAfrica empowers young Africans to become agents of change within their own countries. Through a model inspired by the Peace Corps, CorpsAfrica trains college-educated African youth and places them in rural, high-poverty communities for one year. There, they live and work alongside community members to identify local challenges and facilitate small-scale, high-impact development projects. The organization’s mission is to foster a culture of service and to strengthen the capacity of African youth to combat poverty and drive social change from within.

    Position Overview
    The Regional Manager will play a critical role in advancing CorpsAfrica’s mission by driving regional expansion, supporting new country office development, and ensuring operational consistency and effectiveness. Reporting directly to the Regional Director, this leadership role is responsible for guiding the setup of new country programs, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring that all operations are aligned with CorpsAfrica’s standards and values.

    The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, effective communicator, and experienced development professional with a deep understanding of the African operational landscape.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Country Office Expansion and Setup
    Conduct situational analyses and stakeholder mapping to identify opportunities for CorpsAfrica’s growth into new countries.
    Collaborate with senior program leadership to lead scouting missions and develop feasibility reports.
    Forge strong relationships with key stakeholders including government officials, NGOs, community leaders, and potential donors.
    Oversee technical and logistical components of new office establishment, including legal registration, staffing, infrastructure development, and program readiness.
    Present strategic recommendations and expansion proposals to senior leadership.

    2. Regional Management and Coordination
    Support the Regional Director in coordinating cross-office activities, ensuring alignment on key priorities including risk management, financial oversight, staff development, and safety and security.
    Contribute to performance monitoring and evaluation of existing country offices; assist in troubleshooting and capacity-building where gaps are identified.
    Organize and support regional learning forums, training initiatives, and leadership development programs.
    Temporarily assume Country Director responsibilities when necessary and represent the Regional Director in select internal and external engagements.

    3. Strategic Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement
    Identify and develop relationships with regional organizations that align with CorpsAfrica’s mission.
    Assist in the vetting and due diligence processes for new partnerships and collaborations.
    Represent CorpsAfrica in regional and international meetings, including forums hosted by governments, donors, and partner networks.

    4. Operational Leadership
    Ensure that both new and existing country offices adhere to CorpsAfrica’s organizational standards for compliance, safeguarding, and operational planning.
    Collaborate with global and regional teams to implement operational rollout plans, resolve emerging issues, and maintain high-quality program delivery.
    Qualifications and Experience

    Minimum of seven years of professional experience in international development or humanitarian work, including two years in a regional or multi-country role and three years as a Country Director or equivalent leadership capacity.
    Demonstrated experience establishing or supporting the launch of new programs or country operations.
    Proven expertise in project management, stakeholder engagement, and operational planning in diverse and often complex environments.
    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as international development, public administration, or business is required; Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
    Fluency in both English and French is required; proficiency in an additional regional language such as Portuguese or Arabic is a distinct advantage.
    Strong interpersonal skills, cross-cultural competency, and a demonstrated commitment to servant leadership and organizational values.
