Successful applicants will work directly alongside a team of highly experienced professionals at Remote Exploration Services (RES)—one of Africa’s premier mineral exploration consultancy groups.
The programme provides participants with exposure to a wide range of geological environments and deposit types across various African jurisdictions. Through practical, on-site training, interns will build core competencies in the design, execution, and analysis of exploration projects from early-stage reconnaissance to more advanced exploration activities.
Practical Training and Field Exposure
Participants will engage in key exploration activities such as geological mapping, geochemical sampling, and geophysical surveying. This hands-on work is supplemented by structured training modules covering the following essential skills:
- GPS navigation and usage•Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Basic First Aid
- Off-road 4×4 vehicle handling
This combination of fieldwork and technical training ensures that participants develop both the theoretical and practical knowledge required to contribute effectively to mineral exploration projects.
